So this past week we had 18 people staying in our home. The Curtis' came over for a visit over spring break. We had blow up mattresses everywhere, people sleeping on couches, and every other possible place to rest their heads.
We had a lot of fun hanging out together, going to the beach, visiting the Midway museum, going on the boats at Lake Poway, hitting the jacuzzi late at night, visiting the La Jolla Cave, going to a puppet show, and playing games together.

Connor Turns 2
Over the past 3-4 days Connor has been relishing in the fact that he is in the spotlight. Every possible moment that anyone has mentioned the words "Happy Birthday" he has burst into a cute rendition of the song we all love, "Happy Birthday to you..." It has been adorable. Literally every person that has even started saying happy birthday he has sang away. As the 3rd child of 4 boys he certainly loves being the center of attention.
And this past weekend was ALL HIS. Well except for the fact that Brayden and I were gone snowboarding / skiing on his actual birthday. But Sunday was his day. He woke up to the birthday sign proudly hung in the kitchen, made his favorite breakfast, had homemade oreo cookies for dessert and opened presents. Connor has been a joy in our lives and ensures that no moment is dull. We love you Connor.

Ski Trip @ Brianhead
I was determined this year to get Brayden up to some ski resort to teach him how to ski. So when the Mendenhall's were in to join us, we quickly made a trip out of it. With about a week's preparation we decided to leave after work Thursday and drive to St. George, where we would stay at the Mendenhall's family vacation home. Then Friday morning we woke the boys up and headed up an hour to Brianhead.
Here is a video of Brayden coming down the hill with me. As you can tell from the video I took a fall because he was coming straight at me, but then recovered to finish the video... Couldn't miss this moment.
The day couldn't have been better. It had snowed earlier that week and on this particular Friday it was perfect blue skies the whole day. Brayden went in a class for the morning so I got to hang out with James for the first half of the day. We had fun racing down the mountain together and getting in as many runs as possible before lunch. Then we met up with Mark (Bishop) and David for lunch.
After lunch I grabbed Brayden from his lesson and we all went together for the rest of the day. Right when Brayden got with me he said, "how much longer do I have to go slow?" I said, "no longer buddy, let's go." He did awesome and I was so proud as a father watching him sailing down the mountain for the first time on ski's. That night we went to Pizza Factory, perfect for after snowboarding, and then hit up the jacuzzi. Could life get any better? I submit that it could not.
It was a great trip and so grateful that we were able to get to the mountains this winter. So grateful that the Mendenhall's were willing to come and let us use their house in St. George. Our kids had a lot of fun together and it was a great overall trip.

The T-Ball Season Begins
Brayden and Logan are on the same team this year and it has been a blast so far. It is fun to have some good friends on the team as well. They had their first game today and we captured some great pictures.
Brayden and Logan both did great on their first game. In fact Brayden was awarded as the player of the game at the end by his coach, who presented him with a baseball and wrote his name on it as player of the game. It definitely helped having a year under his belt. During one of the innings when Brayden was playing 2nd base the other team hit him 6 consecutive grounders, and he scooped up every one and threw it to first. So now his coaches have started calling him "The Vacuum". Logan also has steadily improved this year and is becoming quite the ball player.

Ferry Ride Across the Harbor
We decided that we need to take more advantage of this beautiful area we currently live. So one area we had not been with the kids for a while is downtown close to the harbor. This is a really cool spot that has huge cruise line ships, navy ships, and some historic ones that look like pirate ships. Our kids loved walking next to the water and checking out these huge ships.
After checking out the ships we decided to jump on one, well actually a ferry. We jumped on the ferry from Downtown San Diego over to Coronado. It was a lot of fun as we sailed across the harbor and enjoyed the sun and views. All of our kids had a blast as well which was the goal. Once we docked in Coronado we let the kids play on the beach for a little bit before heading home.
What an incredible place we live right now!!
